Guard, Knight

“I’m excited to be a part of Open Door Community Theatre’s first-ever production!”

How I spend my days: I will be a senior at Woodbury High School this fall. When not in school, I’m hanging out with my friends or deejaying at Wooddale Funzone where I work.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Playing a jock in High School Musical at Woodbury High School.

A surprising thing about me: It’s pretty nerdy: I have a huge obsession with roller coasters.

What I do for fun: I love acting, music, movies, and of course, The Office.

King Harold

“I’ll also be doing a bit of Lord Farquaad.”

How I spend my days: At work. Nights are usually spent in rehearsal or doing more work.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came to Dinner. It was a tremendously challenging role!

One word to describe myself: Unannoying.

A surprising thing about me: I only started acting four years ago.

What I do for fun: Basketball, motorcycling, video games, theater.

Volunteer activities: I am on the board of directors of a nonprofit community theatre, the Prior Lake Players.

“I am excited to be a part of many of the fun songs that are in the show, and was thrilled to hear that I was going to be one of the fairytale characters. I enjoyed all the stories so much growing up, and now I’m a part of it. I already know some people in the show, so I’m looking forward to being around them and meeting new people.”

How I spend my days: I am a physical education teacher at Highland Elementary School in Apple Valley. I have a blast every day playing games and helping keep kids physically active.

My most enjoyable past theater role: A choir member in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It was a neat experience to be on stage for the entire show and getting to see all the action up close. The music was very challenging, but it was so much fun to sing when it all came together.

One word to describe myself: Active.

A surprising thing about me: I am a high school tennis coach.

What I do for fun: I love going on walks with my Alaskan Klee Kai puppy, Echo.

Vocal Director and Accompanist

How I spend my days: Teaching and directing music of all kinds with all ages. Choir and music theater director at Woodbury Middle School, owner and director at Aspire Music Academy, vocal and piano teacher and coach at Miss Lori’s Studio, teen choir director at St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Church.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Ado Annie in Oklahoma, because she is such a playful, fun and fabulous character, and just “cain’t say no!”

One word to describe myself: Joyful.

A surprising thing about me: I love to sight-read music. It’s one of my favorite things to do because of the challenge of getting it right the first time!

What I do for fun: Run, play the piano, sing, go see Broadway shows, hang out with lots of amazing friends, and hit the beach at least once or twice a year.

Volunteer activities: I volunteer through music and theater, because I love what I do and I love to see people shine. It brings me great joy!

One of the Three Blind Mice, Dulocian

“I am so excited because Shrek is such a fun show!”

How I spend my days: I am a student at East Ridge High School and will be in the 11th grade this fall.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Being in Les Miserables at East Ridge last fall. It was such an amazing show, and I got to be in it with all my friends.

One word to describe myself: Bubbly.

A surprising thing about me: I have gotten stitches three times.

What I do for fun: Play golf, dance and do speech.

Volunteer activities: I enjoy volunteering at Feed My Starving Children because you’re able to see the people you are helping and are able to make a difference with your own two hands.
