Big Bad Wolf, Pied Piper, Bishop

“This summer, I’m smearing on the contour and lacing up my tap shoes. Coincidentally, I did this show last summer and was the Pied Piper. I’m looking forward to shedding my house coat and tapping along with some rats.”

How I spend my days: At Park High School as a substitute teacher, theater director, choreographer and a speech coach. When school’s out, you can find me at the Dunn Bros in Hastings, slingin’ lattes through the drive thru.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Charlotte von Mahlsdorf (et al) in Doug Wright’s one-man show, I Am My Own Wife. Charlotte’s story is one of triumph, honesty and authenticity during a time of oppression, fear and conformity. It was an unforgettable honor to portray Charlotte as well as 31 other people who impacted her life in the play.

One word to describe myself: Spirited.

A surprising thing about me: I have danced onstage with Julianne Hough. My partner and I attended her Move Live tour at the State Theatre, and she invited me up to salsa with her.

What I do for fun: I love playing cribbage, reading plays, watching YouTube tutorials, coloring, spending time with my family and friends, and chugging iced white mochas. I’m also a die-hard RuPaul’s Drag Race and Dancing with the Stars fanatic.

Elf, Rat

“I am so excited to bring my Christmas spirit as an elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!”

How I spend my days: I attend Baylor University; I study genetics and want to pursue a medical research career. This summer I’m working as a barista at Black Sheep Coffee.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Kathy Selden in Singin’ in the Rain. My good friend played Lina Lamont, and my character got to pie her in the face every show. It was spectacular.

One word to describe myself: Joyful.

A surprising thing about me: I have five siblings and 10 nieces and nephews.

What I do for fun: Theater! I also enjoy hiking, embroidering and reading.

Volunteer activities: During the school year in Texas, I volunteer at a homeless shelter, serving breakfast on Friday mornings. It helps me remember that even when exams are crazy and college is stressful, life really isn’t about me.

Lead Costumer

“I have a team of about eight very hard-working, creative people.  I am so grateful for their support.”

How I spend my days: After teaching with South Washington County Schools for 40 years, I am spending my retirement as a grandmother, Mahjongg player and theater costumer.

My most enjoyable past theater role: The Drowsy Chaperone was my first show as lead costumer and it opened up a whole new world for me. There have been several standouts since then, especially Les Miserables and Spamolot.

One word to describe myself: Devoted.

A surprising thing about me: I have never watched Game of Thrones.

What I do for fun: I love to play Mahjongg with other retired women, and take road trips with my husband, Fred, and Lucy T. Dog.

Volunteer activities: I love to volunteer with my theater. It’s such a privilege to share my talents with amazing people, and to promote the arts for all ages in the community.

One of the Three Little Pigs, Rat, Dulocian

“I am so excited to be a part of the ensemble with this incredibly talented cast. I love the energy of this show!

How I spend my days: I am homeschooling my three kiddos, ages 7, 5 and 3. I teach dance part-time at Woodbury Dance Center and work with Aspire Music Academy for choreography when I am not managing a houseful.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Playing the part of a Delta Nu in Legally Blonde.

One word to describe myself: Weirdo.

A surprising thing about me: I would love to travel, but unfortunately, I have never been out of this country. The opportunity hasn’t been available to me yet.

What I do for fun: I love being outside, biking, hiking, and having too much fun with my family. I also love doing musicals.

Volunteer activities: I really enjoy volunteering with community theater and also like to get involved with parish youth activities.

Witch, Dulocian

“I look forward to being a little bit wicked and letting my freak flag fly with so many of my friends in this production.”

How I spend my days: Human resources director at Supportive Living Solutions. We provide services and housing to adults living with mental illness or recovering from chemical dependency.

My most enjoyable past theater role: The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. It was a role I could really sink my teeth into and feel challenged to not only tap into my sassy side, but dive into the soft moments as well. Not to mention the challenges and ultimate reward of singing Sondheim music! I would honestly play that role for the rest of my life, if I could.

One word to describe myself: Fiesty.

A surprising thing about me: I recorded an album of original songs, which can be found on most streaming services under my stage name, Stacey Karrie.

What I do for fun: Theater, of course! I also play guitar, host dinner parties and singalongs, drink mimosas, binge Netflix, travel as often as possible, and go see all of my friends’ shows.
