Backstage Crew

“I am super excited to be working backstage on this production!”

How I spend my days: I will be a senior at Woodbury High School this fall.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Stage managing my high school’s production of You Can’t Take It With You. It was my first time ever in the role of stage manager; I learned a lot about theater, and discovered how much I really love it.

One word to describe myself: Courageous.

A surprising thing about me: I can memorize things incredibly quickly.

What I do for fun: I consider doing theater something I do for fun, and I also love to read and bake. My favorite days are when I have time for all three things!

Guard

“The guards are super funny and I’m excited to bring them to life on stage.”

How I spend my days: After graduating from Woodbury High School, I’m working in the warehouse for Core Resources Inc. before heading to the University of Minnesota-Duluth this fall.

My most enjoyable past theater role: In Legally Blonde, I was the pilot and in the ensemble. It was such a fun show and the cast was incredible.

One word to describe myself: Energized.

A surprising thing about me: I play the saxophone.

What I do for fun: I like to go biking and hang out with friends in my free time.

Papa Bear

“I’m playing Papa Bear which is fitting because that’s the role I take in real life . . . lol … always looking out for others. It’s a natural casting choice.”

How I spend my days: Store manager for Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics in Edina.

My most enjoyable past theater role: I loved playing Horton in Seussical and the Cowardly Lion in Wizard of Oz.

One word to describe myself: Funny.

A surprising thing about me: I don’t know how to ride a bike. My dad tried teaching me on my sister’s purple glitter seat 10-speed. I fell, and that was the end of that.

What I do for fun: I sing with One Voice Mixed Chorus, and I’m pretty proud of the music we create.

Volunteer activities: My church – I’ve sung at different masses and helped with fundraisers and the Christmas program.

Shrek

“I’m excited to sing some of the wonderful music in this show, and to work with all the cast and crew to see the exciting choices they’ll make and the insights they’ll bring.”

How I spend my days: Freelance acting and directing in the Twin Cities, and setting up for weddings and meetings at the Radisson Blu at the Mall of America.

My most enjoyable past theater role: I have actually performed as Shrek once before. It’s a very fun experience to find the heart of the character along with the humor. That, and getting to be unapologetically gassy.

One word to describe myself: Tired.

What I do for fun: Watch too much film and television, play video games and guitar.

Little Pig, Rat, Dulocian

“I am really looking forward to creating with some of the most talented people I know and pushing my dance skills to the limit.”

How I spend my days: Media specialist at Valley Crossing Elementary School. I love my job and I love spending time with and sharing books and technology tools with today’s young readers and learners.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Snoopy in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown and Mother in A Christmas Story.

One word to describe myself: Goofy.

A surprising thing about me: I’m the biggest Justin Timberlake fan on this side of the Mississippi. I also wear flip flops year-round, occasionally putting my boots on if I go outside and there is snow on the ground.

What I do for fun: I love to swim, ride my bike, read children’s fiction, go to the beach, do jigsaw puzzles, listen to podcasts, and go on adventures with my friends.
