Emma Pirie (she/her) is the new Executive Director of Open Door Community Theater, and is excited to bring her lifelong love of music and theater to a role that blends creativity, leadership, and community connection. Emma has been involved in the performing arts since childhood—singing in choirs, acting in school plays, and eventually finding her passion in music direction and theater production.

She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from North Dakota State University and has spent her career as a middle school and high school music educator, dedicated to helping young people discover their voices and grow through the arts. Over the years, Emma has music directed and produced numerous musical productions, both in schools and the community, always striving to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired.

Emma is deeply aligned with Open Door’s mission to build community through inclusive, high-quality theater. She is excited to help shape the future of the organization; one that welcomes all, celebrates creativity, and opens doors for people to connect both onstage and off.
