Gingy

“Gingy is a part I have always wanted to play. Everybody remembers the ‘not my gumdrop buttons’ part and how could you not have a blast reenacting that on stage?!”

How I spend my days: I am a construction project manager at Gardner Builders, specializing in the building and renovation of hospitals and clinics. I love my job!

My most enjoyable past theater role: Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web when I was 17. It was my first lead in a musical and taught me a lot about confidence and giving it your all on stage – that’s a tough lesson for a teenage girl dressed as a pig in front of hundreds of people. 🙂

One word to describe myself: Newlywed! (I just got married in February!)

A surprising thing about me: Working in construction, my fun fact is always that I’m also an actor. It’s weird to be asked this the other way so I guess maybe it’s that I work in construction?

What I do for fun: I love running around the lakes in Minneapolis and going on walks with my husband and corgi.

Volunteer activities: I was elected to my first non-profit Board of Directors this year with the Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women, an organization that supports the advancement of women in RE and Construction careers (something I am very passionate about!)

Guard/Knight

“The male ensemble is so talented in this show and I’m lucky to be part of it.”

How I spend my days: I am a pediatric dental resident at Hennepin County Medical Center. I am in the middle of residency so all of my time is taken up with time at the hospital working with pediatric dental patient’s as a work toward my specialty. I graduate in June 2020.

My most enjoyable past theater role: That would be a tie between Wiesel in “Newsies” and Not Yet Dead Fred in “Spamalot”.

One word to describe myself: Friendly

A surprising thing about me: I am from Colorado; I have been in school after high school for 12 years, and I was drum major of the University of Colorado in college.

What I do for fun: My favorite thing to do is be outside and enjoy the nice weather with a run, bike, hike, swim, ski, really anything active and outside.

Volunteer activities:  I was very involved with a Summer Camp for children with childhood cancer, Camp Wapiyapi.

Fairy Godmother

“I cannot wait to discover and use my powers for good! I am searching for my magic wand. Have you seen it?”

How I spend my days: Happily retired!

My most enjoyable past theater role: Lilla Vanessi/Kate in Kiss Me Kate. I was encouraged by their persistence and strength in the face of adversity.

One word to describe myself: Compassionate.

A surprising thing about me: I can burp the alphabet.

What I do for fun: I sing and teach others to sing. I also hang out with my family, friends and my pup, Kevin. I climb mountains, hike, spend time at my cabin, and travel to beautiful places with my family.

Volunteer activities: I split my time between musical mentorships, food shelf and environment causes such as Save the Boundary Waters and Nature Conservancy.

White Rabbit, Dulocian, Rat

“I’m so excited to bring a fairytale character to life!”

How I spend my days: I am a recent graduate of Woodbury High School and will be attending St. Olaf College next year.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Definitely playing a cheerleader in High School Musical because of all the dancing that was involved.

One word to describe myself: Ambitious.

A surprising thing about me: I love to organize!

What I do for fun: Hanging out with my friends and going out for ice cream.

Costumer

How I spend my days: I retired from my dental practice last fall after 33 years and currently teach at the University of Minnesota Dental School.

My most enjoyable past theater role: Being in the Mary Poppins ensemble with Woodbury Community Theatre as it was my first-ever theater experience.

One word to describe myself: Introvert (yes, really . . . )

A surprising thing about me: I play Mahjongg with a great group including Mary Wellman and Lenore Weir.

What I do for fun: With one daughter living in Sweden and another soon moving to China, my free time will include a lot of travel.
