Open Door Community Theatre contributes $10,956.78 from “Shrek the Musical” to Food Shelf
The Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf in Oakdale has received a $10956.78 contribution from Open Door Community Theatre. The amount represents proceeds from Open Door’s inaugural production of “Shrek the Musical” which ran June 21-30 at Oltman High School in Cottage Grove.
Open Door Community Theatre’s mission is to stage high quality productions in partnership with and for the benefit of local organizations that serve the needs of the broader community. “Giving back to the community is a major focus of Open Door, which is an all-volunteer organization,” said Colleen Cullen, vice chair of the board. “The successful run of ‘Shrek,’ coupled with strong local business sponsorships, enabled us to make this sizable donation to the Christian Cupoard, which serves such a critical need in our community.”
Open Door Community Theatre plans to partner with other community organizations for future productions. More information at https://opendoorcommunitytheatre.org/.
